After my parents finished up grad school at Rutgers University in New Jersey, they were off to Brazil to work; their intent was to stay for two years, but they ended up staying for twelve, because they loved the country and the people so much. During this time, my brother and I were born. I am the youngest of three, as my brother and I have an older sister who was born in New Jersey. Interestingly enough, we are all seven years apart in age.
My parents knew that our family would someday go back to the US. The United States was where they wanted us to obtain our education, and the Brazilian lifestyle was not conservative enough for them. In the mid 80's my sister was accepted to the University of California at Davis where my parents both accepted employment as well, so we packed up and shipped off to the United States. This was a scary time for all of us, especially for my brother and me because Brazil was all we knew. Like any transition it was rough at first, particularly the language barrier but it was not long before we adopted English as our native tongue and embraced all that America had to offer. I see many benefits to having been raised in a multi-cultural home, with my parents both being Filipino, us having been raised in Brazil and then growing up in the United Sates. It's hard not to develop an appreciation for different cultures on the whole, being blessed with colorful lifestyles and an amazing array of delicious foods.
As far back as I can remember I have loved the spotlight. While other kids would shy away and hide behind their parents, I was a little diva, demanding the cameras be turned onto me at all times. This natural predilection for the camera, spotlight and attention continued as I grew up, leading me to participate in beauty pageants, commercial print shoots and a variety of other "showbiz" endeavors. As much as I loved taking part in all of those activities, none of them felt like the perfect fit for me...that is, until I discovered my love for acting.
Acting brings me not only the joy of being in front of the camera, but also the freedom to connect with amazingly talented people. I have never had a natural talent for typical "art" (painting, drawing, sculpting, etc.) but I found my home in performance art. I have finally found an avenue that allows me to effectively express myself in a creative manner and I consider that a blessing. |

What is some random trivia about Ana Feliciano?

Well, I love maps. Give me a map of the World, the US or even California and I am just fascinated and entertained for hours. It's all about the cheap thrills right? |
What is something that you like but the general public doesn't?

I absolutely love rats. I think that they make phenomenal pets. I mean, sure I love cats and dogs too but we're talking about something with a stigma right? Something that the general population does not like? Rats are very social, generally very people-oriented and are very tolerant to hands-on encounters which make them great pets for children. They are smart, loyal and loving. The only downsides that I see to owning a pet rat are their short life spans and their propensity for respiratory infection. |

Why do you think that rats have such a bad image or reputation?
You can pick apart anything in this life and I think that there are several reasons as to why people might be turned off by them. Sure, wild rats carry diseases but keep in mind that all wild animals can carry and spread disease. This isn't a problem with domesticated pet rats. |

What is your favorite time
of day?
My favorite time of day is when I am at home or on my way home. I absolutely love being at home. |

What is involved in your
ideal day?

That's a good question (laughs)... I would have to say, a big breakfast, trapshooting, dirt biking, a late lunch, my nearest and dearest, music, dancing in an obscure location like a grocery store parking lot, boating, fishing, swimming, more trapshooting, picture taking, a sixer, drag racing, a good movie and a sushi dinner. Wait, that can all be packed into one day, right? We'll just get up early (laughs). |

Which of the 7 sins do you commit the most?
(laughs) Well, my dad once made a statement about me, he said that I "live to eat, I don't eat to live" I absolutely love to eat indeed.

If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?
Well, I have learned over time that the worst emotion and experience to have is regret. Aside from the fact that you learn and grow from it, I wish that I didn't regret things that I have done...or have failed to do. |

Any recent regrets?
Always. One in particular that really sticks out for me is how I wasn't able to attend my cousin's wedding. I have seen the pictures and it was tough to look at them without getting emotional, I really regret not being there. |

Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Don't we all? Mine is watching the Classic Car Auctions (ESPN2) on weekends.
